Three weddings. No date. What’s a hot stud to do when all the women on his speed dial are either serving dinner to their families or serving time?
Out of all the O’Briens, Seamus is the best-looking, most creative, and, did I mention, best-looking? Single at almost forty wasn’t a big deal until every sibling in his large and loud Irish family found “the one.” Now, he’s desperate for a wedding date, one he doesn’t have to worry will make out with the limo driver or rob the bride and groom blind.
Allie Mendes is the good daughter, who’s spent her life living in her perfect sister’s shadow. But when her sister steals the man Allie was supposed to marry, that shadow she’s lived in threatens to swallow her whole. Allie wants to believe a bright future awaits. But when she begs God to save her from this disastrous twist of fate, the last person she expects Him to send her is Seamus O’Brien.
Allie needs a stand-in boyfriend to avoid appearing as lonely as she feels. Seamus needs a decent woman without an ankle bracelet or a rap sheet as long as his muscular arms. The two make a deal to pose as each other’s perfect date. But weddings mean romance and a chance at forever neither had planned.

EXCERPT:

Valentina rushes me. Her speed and movements inhumanly graceful. She throws her arms around me like she would a long-lost friend and not the sister she hasn’t spoken to in years.  She lifts me briefly, making a grunting sound as if I weigh a more than I do.
Following an uncomfortably long embrace, she holds me out at arm’s length, staring down at me and asserting her apparent superiority. “It’s so good to see you, Allie.” Her face softens like she wants to cry. “Mom says you don’t have a date for the wedding. But don’t worry. Andy and I will find someone to take you.”
Andy? I slowly turn in Andres’s direction. Lovely.
I suppose it could be worse. I could be Andy.
“Did you hear that?” My mother asks, beaming. “Your sister and Andy are going to find you someone so you don’t have to be all alone.”
They wait, expecting me to thank them. I’d rather stab myself in the eye with Valentina’s pitchfork.
I lift my chin, meeting my sister square in the eye. “I have a date,” I reply.
“No you don’t,” my mother immediately interjects, making me feel worse because she’s right.
I stand to my full height, ignoring how they tower over me, clinging with my teeth to whatever strand of dignity remains.
“Really?” Valentina asks. She tosses back her hair, fighting it seems to keep from full-out cackling. “And who might that be?
My breath leaves my lungs with an odd squeak as Seamus yanks me to him, pressing me into his large, firm body. His chin is smeared with cream, chocolate stains the front of his shirt, and he has something stuck between his teeth. That doesn’t stop him from flashing a smile with what remains of his pearly whites.
“How’s it going?” He smacks my ass and gives it a squeeze. “I’m Seamus. Allie’s boyfriend.”

MY IMPRESSIONS OF THIS BOOK:

Readers are once again invited into the world of the O’Briens with their boisterous, colorful, and loving family.  Through four previous books we’ve witnessed the siblings finding HEA which just leaves the sexy playboy Seamus to find the one woman to win over his family as well as his heart.  With each turn of the page readers will get caught up in the playful banter and simmering sensual tension as a fake relationship becomes so much more.

Seamus O’Brien is popular with the ladies, but the kinds of ladies he ends up with leave his family shaking their heads.  The women who are nothing but notches on his bedpost are all kinds of trouble and end up making him regret ever meeting them.  With his siblings all settling down though, and finding happiness, Seamus is starting to realize how lonely and meaningless his life is when it comes to relationships and sets out to find a worthy woman.  What he finds is an average gal with a big heart who’s in need of a bit of rescuing of her own.  Becoming a fake couple to make both of their families happy seems like a great idea, until he realizes he wants to be more than friends.  Seamus is a delicious hero, funny and charming.  When nervous he speaks before he thinks which results in laugh out loud moments.  When first meeting him he seems arrogant and silly, but behind the fun guy facade is a man who’s truly loving and protective.  He’s a man who accepts that most women want him only for sex, see him as a sexy distraction with no substance, but that doesn’t mean he’s happy with their view of him.  He’s protective of Allie the moment he sees her, takes her under his wing, and grows closer to her as they morph from friends to lovers.  Along the way he opens up to her about his past and finds someone who values him for more than just his pretty face.  Seamus is someone you can’t help but fall for, you can’t help being drawn to his kind heart hidden behind his snarky demeanor in a romance that put a smile on my face.

Allie Mendes has always been the good daughter, the reliable one that everyone takes for granted.  She’s endured a lifetime of criticism, judgments, and mockery and it’s led to very low self-esteem.  She’s never been a bombshell, paling in comparison to her model sister, but she is distinctive for her kind heart and sacrificing nature.  Once upon a time she thought she’d found love with the nerdy guy she gave everything to until her sister took it all away, but her sister is soon back to make life even more miserable for her.  She might not look like the kind of woman Seamus would be drawn to but the moment he claims to be her boyfriend is the moment their lives irrevocably change.  With her rescuer Seamus right beside her she undergoes a transformation, not only of looks but also in attitude.  Being with Seamus brings her out of her shell, empowers her to take what she wants in a romance that’s teeming with sexual tension.  Allie’s an immensely likable heroine who’s been on the periphery of the O’Brien family but is pulled in wholeheartedly once she and Seamus get together.  She’s a loyal person to those she calls friend, as her family is horrible to her, and seamlessly fits right in with the over-the-top clan as she wins them over with charm.  Just as she wins over his family, so too is she working her way into his heart and soul.  They’re a delightful match with crackling banter that felt like verbal foreplay and I enjoyed watching them become more than friends.

This is a romance all about the build up.  The friends to lovers relationship evolves slowly but satisfyingly, alongside banter that made me laugh and blush. The main couple are ones you’d hang out with, ones who are flawed but who don’t dwell on it.  They make the best of what life’s given them, laughing it off with a smile, which made me want to hug them both.  Sweet interludes and longing glances are the majority of their encounters which had me longing for them to take that final step.  Though the slowness of their relationship sometimes frustrated me I appreciated the time spent getting to know them and the time spent growing their bond.  This was a romance that wasn’t all about sex, it was about joining together heart and soul.  The O’Brien family are formidable but the feelings they engender brought a tear to my eye and made me jealous with wanting to be a member too.  Once again Ms. Robson has crafted a sweet, sexy, and sentimental tale with a drool-worthy hero and likable heroine that readers will want to read about again once the final page is turned.

My rating for this is an A-/B+

CRAVE ME (Book #3)
Wren O’Brien isn’t your typical female. As the only girl from a loud Irish family with seven siblings, she prefers fast cars to lip gloss and bad boys to good men. It’s the reason she’s nursing a wounded soul and keeping her distance from a dangerous ex.
Evan Jonah is running an empire and just moved from the lavish thoroughfares of London to the gritty streets of Philadelphia. When he walks into the nearest dealership, he’s expecting to find a reliable vehicle to handle the brutal winters, not a sexy female car rep with killer legs.
Wren doesn’t know why “Hotness in a Suit” asked her out. She doesn’t expect a great time or a night of passion that knocks her on her ass. But that’s exactly what Evan shows her.
She also never counted on how hard and fast she’d fall. But men like Evan—good men with even better hearts—don’t desire tough-talking Philly girls for long.
Evan has never met a woman like Wren. But he’s up for the challenge and ready to prove her wrong.
